I will look into this, currently running torque with the generic settings and am wanting to add in the csv referenced.Just download it and stick it in the folder: '.torqueextendedpids'Load up Torque, go to settings Manage Extra PIDs/Sensors menu Add Predefined set choose 'VW'though at first glance I can see why you aren't seeing that directory. The period '.' Dot in front of the word torque means that is a hidden directory.

When you are in your file viewer app go to settings and check 'show hidden directories'. It will blow your mind:explosions.

Well not really you can then see hidden directories hope this helps.on a side not I've recently delved into Android app development, if you all have any TDI related apps you'd like to see hit me up and maybe we can work together. Oh, wow!so easy when you know how.I had my suspicions it was something to do with hidden folders, but for the life of me I couldn`t find the option in the file manager app I was using (ES File explorer). I also had to create the extendedpids folder myself as it was not present. For reference it is under tools on the left-hand-side menu and it`s a simple toggle button/switch for on and off.I am nowhere near the car just now but will update my `dashboard` accordingly later and update here. You guys are, without any shadow of any doubt, fantastic.Thanks.

Ok well I tried the new dpf and egt dials on the run home this evening. They show up in the dashboard but don't display any data.Beginning to wonder if this revision has egt and/or dpf temp sensors.Anyone know where I should look in VCDS to confirm?CheersThe PIDs in my CSV are based on standard OBDII codes. If you are using my gauges and they are not reporting anything, then the most likely explanation is that nothing is being reported on that PID.Try loading up Torque Pro and use the 'Torquescan' plugin to view the raw data. If you scroll through the list to the VW set and see if anything is being reported. If not, then you don't have the sensors needed or the car is just not reporting them.It happens. One reason why I dove into creating my own gauges was because my car was not reporting coolant temps from the PID Torque uses by default. I had to set a gauge to reads this info from another PID.

Already run TorqueScan but before I had your guages.I`ll give it a go again later but I have a feeling that this (UK) revision of the Passat is using slightly differet PID`sAre PIDs listed/shown in Vag-Com?I know I can see temps of the oil and coolant etc in Vag-Com, I know I`ve seen those, but not so sure about EGT`s and DPF temp.I`m hoping to get some sort of tune done soon but would prefer not to melt my impeller blades hence wanting to monitor EGT`sYes. VCDS has a built in OBDII scanner and any PID that appears in it should be picked up by Torque as well. And there is another PID from Exhaust Temps. PID 78 is for Bank1 and PID 79 is for Bank2. It could very well be that your car could use PID 79 for exhaust. Ahhhhh, I see.Don`t suppose there`s any way to do a scan and see which PID`s are active?I`ll have another play tonight. Thanks againYou don't have to do that. VCDS will automatically pull up the correct PIDs.OBDII has specific PIDs that are used to tell the reader what PIDs are available. The reader only has to look at those PIDs to pull a list of all the PIDs that carry information on your car.For example.

When you hook up a reader to your car, it will look at PID 00. This PID tells the reader what PIDs are available between 01-20. Ahhhh, ok.Well I looked again and according to VCDS there is an EGT sensor and it is reporting to the ECU and it is showing temperatures. With the engine off it was reading around 36 degrees C and when started it started rising steadily up to a few hundred degrees C at idle, it was showing up under an `ID` of 218, I`m not entirely sure where this was or what I was looking for but it was labelled EGT.I will do some further investigations but suffice it to say, if i set the PID in torque to 218 it did not show any temperatures.I need to do some more playing.
